after visiting with…
March 30, 2006
my brother on tuesday i am somewhat relieved that i had the foresight not to go to the parents barbie. namely because i don’t do real good with drunks who annoy the crap out of me by repeating the same boozy complaints over and over.
ohh. just shut the fuck UP!
things do not appear to be travelling happily along in judy and mal’s marriage of a few months…been together for over twenty years and just recently got married…yeah fucked if i know why you would bother exactly after that amount of time. but have a sneaking suspicion it was done because another set of neighbours did it…you know how it goes, all that one-upmanship bullshit. but hey each to their own.
tho i just don’t see the point of clocking up thousands on a credit card just to stick it up someone else. which is exactly what they did…nothing but the [cough] best. pity judy didn’t spend some of the cash matching her neck and arm teeshirt reddish tan line to her strapless dress line. not a particularly alluring sight in a white wedding dress.
so judy got [more] legless and was taken home early on by their eldest daughter which left mal the opportunity to bleat openly about their marital problems. endlessly. repeatedly. again, glad i didn’t bother to go. as i quite like mal but probably wouldn’t so much after having to listen to it. that kinda talk makes me uncomfortable. who wants to have inside knowledge of their sex life or knowing that she has completely gone off her rocker concerning him watching tv.
tv programs that often show the semi-naked female form to which she gives him much grief about. apparently he couldn’t even watch the commonwealth games without her bitching that he was perving at the female athletes etc. maybe he should switch to the football channel to be on the safer side, big boofy blokes in footy shorts should calm her ire…but then again they have the cheer leaders huh.
oh well bet that was a happy household he went home to later on. eh.

Yeah, it sounds like it was for the best that you didn’t go. Those kinds of situations can be so awkward. My sister and her husband used to publicly bicker with one another and everyone else present had to suffer through it and not know what to say. Yuck.

And here I am, letting my sister get my husband yearly subscriptions to Playboy every Christmas. I don’t care if mine looks, so long as he doesn’t touch or try to touch. Good thing you didn’t go. I hate those situations.

Funny you should mention Judy hates her husband seeing good-looking women on TV. My ex-sister-in-lay was the same way to her 2nd husband. She didn’t want him looking at ANYONE who she thought looked better than her. She even went so far as to scribble over women in the TV guide before he used it. She had this poor guy so whipped that all he read was the Bible and nothing else. Meanwhile as he was reading the Bible, she was out “doing the wild thing” with another guy. See, even just reading your post brought this memory back. I don’t understand how people can be this jealous. So much wasted energy..I understand how you feel about wanting to avoid having to hear such….hugz, Linda

yup, there’s only one way to deal with drunks; get even drunker yourself.
it’s a good plan when you’re young but with age it takes longer to recover.

Yeah, good thing you didnt go.. I dont understand why women get upset if their men look at other women on tv or in books.. I mean, honestly whats the chance of him ever hooking up with them? Maybe if you were there, you could’ve out drank them.. that way atleast everyone else could’ve had a great time laughing at your silly arse..

Wow, she sounds secure in herself. That’s really sad. Glad you didn’t go either. Family… not for everyone…

March 31, 2006 at 1:44 am
I forgot to mention how many times I put people through that – watching me and the ex bicker and me calling him a dumbass. Good times.
ryc- girl it’s like a whole new world out there for me. Seriously, and I’m not even on meds-well wasn’t but just started Wellbutrin. We’ll see what happens.

Hope you are not affected by Cyclone Glenda, Pos. Be safe, girl, even if you have to be exposed to people who don’t have enough class to hide their farmers tan lines.

So, I assume spag bol is like spaghetti??? Hmmmm…
Totino’s pizzas are these cheap ass frozen ones they sell here in the states. Not much cheese on them but they cost only $1 each. I throw a little extra cheese on them. Eating for a $1 is pretty good around here.

Yeah i guess it is for the best, i cannot stand it when my parents are drunk, well i say it in plural, its only my dad who does really, not too drunk, but enough for him to act like an obnoxious fool, and in a home like mine there’s no escape, i know what you meen by the same complaints too, sometimes it feels like groundhog day, as the same things can be said every day…as the same things can be said every day…as the same things can be said every day…ARRGHHHH! HELP ME!!
April 1, 2006 at 3:28 am
Gosh, I agree, some things are best left unsaid; I’m not a big believer in “too much info”. BTW, today I’ve been married to the same bloke for 31 years! Havin a pretty good day today, hope you are too…

Hi Apos, just droppin’ by to see how things are doing with you. Its so different to think that you are in the fall of the year now, and we are getting ready for the long, hot summer. I love fall, I just don’t like the winter that comes after it :p
April 1, 2006 at 8:34 am

Bruce is a car guy and I never worry about him ever. I went with him to the DMV to get his license renewed…the woman at the counter was throwing herself at him and he didn’t have a clue, not one clue. I was standing behind him, so I walked up next to him and said hey you sexy man want to go home with me? He smiled and said yes, lets go…the look on her face was too funny!
